Be Impeccable With Your Word

I just finished reading for the 3rd time a great book called "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. A practical guide to personal freedom. WOW is all I can say. It is not very big of a book only 138 pages but the information in it truly is awesome.

The first agreement is "Be Impeccable With Your Word." Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

Of course it is much more detailed in the book but what I loved was how it explained when we speak with words that are ugly and hateful we are revealing to the world as well as to ourselves what we are inside. If you use words like those to express yourself then you are infecting all those you lay those words on as well as creating more dis-ease in your own body. Our poor planet needs more love not hate wouldn't you agree?

Use words that reveal a peaceful and compassionate side of you to get your point across. You can't lead people when you are to busy judging them. Don't lay your emotional poison on others with your words. Be conscious of how you speak to others. Be conscious how you speak to yourself. Inside you is all the power to create or destroy. Make a good choice to create a life worth serving.

Do yourself a favor and pick up this book you won't be disappointed. Enjoy life and cherish the journey. I will give you the other agreements in another post.

Namaste,

Lori Meadows
